What Happens After You Match?
Once you identify your top programs, the next step is simple: register through our volunteer sign-up form and attend the next scheduled orientation for your chosen program. Orientations are held monthly at our River Park headquarters and at partner locations throughout the county. Each session lasts two to three hours and covers program-specific training, onboarding paperwork, background check processing, and introductions to your program coordinator and fellow volunteers.
There is no financial cost to volunteer with Joining Hands Foundation. We provide all necessary training, materials, equipment, liability coverage, and ongoing support at no charge. Your only investment is your time and your willingness to serve. Most new volunteers begin active service within two to three weeks of completing their orientation, depending on background check processing timelines for programs working with vulnerable populations.
